Upsell analytics
Upsell analytics shows how your upsells perform. Open it with All analytics on the Upsells, last 30 days card of the Upsells page. Home shows Upsell value, last 30 days under Overview.
Pick a Period: Last 24 hours, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or Custom dates (From, To).
Totals:
| Number | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Added to cart | Upsell products added in checkout, plus post-purchase offers accepted |
| Sold | Upsell order lines in completed orders (one per line, whatever the quantity) |
| Revenue | Revenue of those lines, in your store currency |
| Possible earnings | Buyers who clicked an upsell on the thank you or order status page and were sent to the cart. They have not completed that purchase, so it is not counted as revenue. |
- Revenue by day and Added to cart by day chart the period.
- By page splits the numbers by Checkout, Post-purchase, Thank you page and Order status page.
- By upsell shows completed sales per named upsell. Choose Turn on to start it; it saves the upsell's name on new Shopify orders and on each upsell line (buyers do not see it). Turn off stops it.
- By product lists products by revenue. See orders lists the orders behind a product or an upsell.
- If your store sells in several currencies, Several currencies shows; totals count your store currency only.
Do not write upsell names on orders stops the app writing upsell names onto your Shopify orders. The numbers on the page are still counted.
Where the numbers come from
- Checkout numbers come from the app's web pixel, for buyers who allow analytics in your store's cookie banner. Buyers who decline are not counted.
- Post-purchase numbers come from the offers buyers accept on the post-purchase page. The post-purchase page also shows Post-purchase, last 30 days (Upsells accepted, Value added).
- Days are counted in UTC. Numbers update every few minutes.
Web pixel
The app installs a web pixel in your store to count upsells. If Shopify shows the app's pixel as disconnected under Settings > Customer events:
- In the app, open Settings.
- Under Checkout web pixel (Analytics Tracking), check Pixel Status.
- Choose Reconnect web pixel.
- If the pixel still shows as disconnected in Shopify, choose Delete and recreate… and confirm.
