Getting started with TreStack Checkout

Not on the App Store yet

TreStack Checkout is coming to the Shopify App Store and cannot be installed yet, so there is no listing to install it from today. These pages describe how the app works, so you know what setup involves before it is listed.

Setup has four steps: pick a plan, set up a block in the app, place the block in Shopify's checkout editor, and pick the block's profile there.

1. Pick a plan

• When you first open the app, Set up TreStack Checkout asks What brings you here?. Pick any that fit, or none, then choose Continue to plans.
• On Plans, choose a plan and approve it in Shopify. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial.
• Blocks on the checkout page itself need the Growth or Pro plan and a store on Shopify Plus. Thank you and order status page blocks work on every plan.
• Development stores are free.

2. Set up a block in the app

1. In the app's menu, open App blocks.
2. Under Pages, choose Checkout, Thank you page or Order status page.
3. Find a block (for example Custom Banner Message or Trust Badges) and select it. The (i) button shows Details first; choose Set up there to open the block.
4. Choose Add profile. Optionally give the profile a Nickname, then choose Choose a template.
5. Pick a template, or Skip template.
6. Edit the settings. The Preview shows roughly how the block will look.
7. Choose Save in the save bar at the top.

3. Place the block in the checkout editor

Shopify decides where blocks appear in checkout, so you place them in Shopify's checkout editor.

1. In the block's settings, choose Open Editor (or Open checkout editor on the block's profiles page). Shopify's checkout editor opens. You can also get there from your Shopify admin: Settings > Checkout > Customize.
2. In the editor, switch to the page you want (checkout, thank you or order status).
3. Add an app block where you want it, and choose the block from TreStack Checkout.

4. Pick the profile and save

1. Select the block in the checkout editor. Its settings open on the right.
2. In the block's Settings Profile setting (for example Custom Banner Settings Profile), choose Profile 1 or the profile you set up. Use Editor Settings ignores the app's profiles and uses only the values typed in the checkout editor.
3. Choose Save in the checkout editor.

The block now shows in your checkout. Changes you save in the app later reach checkout without opening the editor again.
