Run a recurring daily or weekly timer

- Repeats: A daily window on the weekdays you choose
- Clock: Your shop timezone
- At the end: Does nothing by default
A recurring timer counts down to the end of a daily time window, on the weekdays you choose. Use it for an offer that really comes back every day, or on one day each week.
Set it up
- Create a timer or open one.
- On the Content tab, set Timer type to Daily recurring timer.
- Pick the weekdays. For a daily timer, pick all seven. For a weekly one, pick the day the offer runs.
- Set the start and end of the window, in your shop timezone. A window may cross midnight, and it belongs to the day it starts on. To count down to midnight every day, pick all seven days and end the window at midnight.
- Choose when it starts, today or on a date, and when it ends, never or on a date.
- Choose what happens once a window ends: hide, show a custom title, or do nothing, which is the default.
- Set the design on the Design tab and where it shows on the Placement tab.
- Choose Publish.
Check it on your store
During a window, open a page where the timer shows: it counts down to the end of the window. Before a window opens the timer stays out of sight, so a theme preview with no timer is expected then. An app block holding it shows a hint that there is nothing to show yet, which only you see.
Good to know
- A window that crosses midnight belongs to the day it starts on. A window from Friday evening to early Saturday is set on Friday, not Saturday.
- Shop timezone, not your browser's. If the window is an hour out, check the timezone in your Shopify settings; daylight saving is the usual cause.
Every countdown mode and its end choices are in TreStack Timer, setup and settings.
Count down to a date
Count down to one date and time in your shop timezone, choose what happens at zero, and check the deadline on your store.
Give each visitor their own countdown
Run a fixed number of minutes for each visitor, kept in their browser, and know what starts it again and what happens when it ends.
