The plans

Every plan includes every feature: every deal type, layout and design option, A/B tests, analytics and translations. Plans differ only in how much added revenue they cover in each 30-day period.

PlanMonthlyYearlyAdded revenue covered per 30 daysYearly plans, above that
Starter$9.99 a month$95.88 a year ($7.99 a month)$1,000$0.49 per started $100
Growth$19.99 a month$191.88 a year ($15.99 a month)$5,000$0.42 per started $100
Pro$49.99 a month$479.88 a year ($39.99 a month)$20,000$0.28 per started $100
Unlimited$129 a month$1,236 a year ($103.00 a month)No limitNothing

Yearly plans are 20 percent off and are billed once a year. Prices are in USD. "Unlimited bundle deals" on every plan means the app sets no limit on deals; Shopify still allows at most 25 active automatic discounts per store across all apps, and each published deal uses one (see Combining discounts, and store limits).

What a plan measures

Plans measure added revenue: what a deal brought in beyond one item at its regular price. For billing, the app counts it only where the deal's own automatic discount priced the order lines. Discount codes and other discounts never count, test orders are left out, and amounts are converted to USD at each day's European Central Bank reference rate. Days run in UTC. The full definition, with worked examples, is in Added revenue.

What happens when a period passes your plan's limit depends on how you pay:

  • Monthly plans charge the price difference to the plan that covers the period, as a usage charge. Your plan does not change.
  • Yearly plans charge an overage once the period is over, per started $100 above the limit, as a one-time charge you approve.
  • Unlimited has no limit and nothing extra to pay.

Both are explained, with examples, in Going over your plan.

Trial and development stores

Each store gets one 14-day free trial. Choosing another plan, resubscribing or reinstalling gives only the days left of that first trial, and none once it is used up. Added revenue during the trial is never counted: counting starts the day after the trial ends. While the trial runs, the Current plan section shows a badge such as "Free trial - 5 days left", and "Free trial ends today" on the last day.

Development stores (Shopify Partner stores) use the app free, with every feature. A banner says "This app is free for development stores". If you pick a plan on a development store, Shopify bills it in test mode, so nothing is charged. When a development store goes live without a plan, its deals pause until you choose one (see Development stores and testing safely).

The Plans page

Until the store has a plan, the app opens on the Plans page, titled "Choose a plan" (development stores excepted). Pick "Monthly" or "Annual, save 20%" under Billing cycle, then a plan. The button reads "Start 14-day free trial" while trial days are left, and "Get started" after.

Once you have a plan, the page is titled "Plan management" and shows:

  • Current plan: the plan name with "(Monthly)" or "(Annual)" and its limit. On a monthly plan the line reads, for example, "Up to $5,000 monthly added revenue. Plan upgrades automatically at limit." On a yearly plan it reads "Up to $5,000/mo added revenue. Above that - $0.42 per $100."
  • The usage bar (monthly plans only, after the trial): "Added revenue $X of $Y" for the running billing period, with the period's dates. The bar turns red from 80 percent of the limit. The admin sends no other warning as you approach the limit, so this bar is where to look.
  • An offer: "Switch to annual billing" with what you save per year, or the next plan up.
  • All plans: every plan for the billing cycle you picked, with its price and the added revenue it covers per month.
  • Cancel plan, covered in Pausing, cancelling and uninstalling.

The "Apply code" button takes a discount code, if we have given you one. A code above 30 percent does not apply to yearly plans.

Billed by Shopify, and changing plan

Charges appear on your Shopify bill as a TreStack Bundles subscription named after the plan and how you pay, for example "Growth (Monthly)" or "Growth (Annual)". You approve every plan on a Shopify page, and we never see payment details.

To change plan, choose "Select plan" on another plan and approve it in Shopify. The new plan starts at once, with one exception. If a monthly plan's running period was already charged up to a higher plan by an automatic upgrade, any plan at or below that one shows "Select for next period" instead, and starts with your next billing period, so the same days are not charged twice. For the same reason, after an automatic upgrade the Plans page suggests that higher plan with "Upgrade now", and it too starts with the next period.

From trial to a running plan, in four steps.

Pick a plan

Choose by the added revenue you expect per 30 days. Every plan has every feature, so a smaller plan is never missing anything.

Choose monthly or yearly

Monthly plans upgrade for a period when you go over. Yearly plans are 20 percent cheaper and bill an overage per started $100 instead.

Approve it in Shopify

The first plan on a store starts with 14 days free. Added revenue counts from the day after the trial ends.

Check the Plans page now and then

On a monthly plan, after the trial, the usage bar shows the running period and turns red from 80 percent. On any plan, a banner appears there when a charge needs your approval.
