Prices

How do I remove the struck-through price from a bar?

There is no setting that hides it: each bar shows its price after the discount and, struck through, the price before it. What you choose is which price that is. With Use product compare-at price on, it is the product's compare-at price where that is higher than its price; off, it is the regular price. A quantity break bar at Full price shows a compare-at price even with the setting off. See Prices, the sticky bar and the savings summary.

Why is my compare-at price not showing on the bar?

Turn on Use product compare-at price in the deal's Settings, Pricing. The widget uses a compare-at price only where it is higher than the product's price. Compare-at prices are for display only: the discount always comes off the real price. See Prices, the sticky bar and the savings summary.

How do I show prices without decimals?

Turn on Show prices without decimals in Settings, Pricing. Checkout still charges the exact price, so $19.50 shows as $20 and is charged $19.50. To make the two match, set Price rounding to .00 as well. See Prices, the sticky bar and the savings summary.

Why is the price at checkout different from the widget?

Checkout prices the cart, not the bar the shopper clicked. A shopper who adds 3 and lowers it to 2 gets the 2-item price, a bundle or mix and match set is discounted only when every item is in the cart, and a second deal or bundle app on the same product can price it too. See When a deal does not show or prices look wrong.

Can the items in a Buy X, get Y bar be free?

Yes. The Get side of a Buy X, get Y bar is priced with Percentage off, Amount off or Fixed price, and 100% Percentage off makes those items free. At checkout the cheapest items in each complete set are the discounted ones. See Quantity breaks and Buy X, get Y.

How do I show the saving, or a price per day, in a bar's text?

Use a text variable: Saved percentage, Saved $ total, New price per item, New price per day and more, from the Insert variable button beside the text. Every variable is listed in Text variables.

Cart and checkout

Can I change the discount name shoppers see at checkout?

Yes. Checkout shows the deal's Discount name, set in Settings, or the bar's title when there is none. Only the quantity variables are filled in there. It shows in the shopper's language when you have translated it on the Translations page. See How the discount is applied at checkout.

Does a deal combine with discount codes?

Every deal's discount combines with product, order and shipping discounts. There is no setting for this: Shopify's own rules decide what applies to each line. See Combining discounts, and store limits.

Why did a gift stay in the cart at full price?

A gift or upsell is free or discounted only while the cart still reaches the bar it belongs to. Nothing removes it from the cart, so after the shopper lowers the quantity it stays at full price. Say in the gift's text which bar it comes with. See Free gifts and progressive gifts.

Why is the Buy it now button missing?

Buy it now buys only the variant in the product form, so the widget hides it whenever the chosen offer is more than that one plain line: a bundle, a mix and match set, gifts, upsells, different variants per item, an Alternative product bar, or a bar of several items when the theme's product form has no quantity box. Those go through the cart instead. See How the discount is applied at checkout.

Why did checkout price a product with a different deal?

The widget shows one deal per product, but at checkout every published deal runs its own discount, so a product in two published deals can be priced by either. Give each product one published deal, and keep one bundle app per product. See Products, dates and visibility.

The widget on your theme

Add the Bundle deal app block to any section that accepts app blocks, as Online Store 2.0 theme sections do. Its Product setting shows another product's deal, for example in a featured product section on the home page. Once a block for the page's own product is on the page, the widget stops placing itself there. See Theme compatibility and placement.

Why is my theme's quantity box hidden?

On the themes the widget knows, the theme's quantity box is hidden and set to the chosen bar's quantity, because the bar decides how many go in the cart. On other themes it is left alone and not kept in step. See Theme compatibility and placement.

The theme's variant picker, quantity box or price does not follow the widget

The widget keeps them in step only on the themes it knows, listed on Theme compatibility and placement. On another theme it still places itself, but those parts are not synced. Send us the store address and support can set this up for your theme.

How do I hide the theme's own variant picker?

Turn on Hide theme variant picker in Settings, Variants. With different variants per item off, the widget then shows one shared picker instead. It works on the themes the widget knows. See Variants, swatches and images.

Why doesn't the product image change when a shopper picks a bar?

A bar's Featured image moves the product gallery only on the Dawn family, Horizon, Impact, Prestige and Warehouse. On other themes nothing happens. See Variants, swatches and images.

Does it work with page builders?

The widget recognises the Add to cart buttons of two page builders' product pages, whatever the theme; write to us to ask which. That is not verified on a live store yet. See Theme compatibility and placement.

Does it work on a headless or custom storefront?

The widget is the Bundle deals app embed of a Shopify theme. A storefront that does not run on a Shopify theme does not show it.

How can I tell whether a problem comes from TreStack Bundles or another app?

Duplicate your theme, turn on only the Bundle deals app embed in the copy, and preview the product there. If the copy behaves, turn the other app embeds back on one at a time until the problem returns. See When a deal does not show or prices look wrong.

Can I change the fonts and text sizes?

Yes, per text in the deal's Style: your theme's default font or another of its fonts, sizes from 8 to 72 px, and the weight. No extra web fonts are loaded. See Designing a deal.

Can the deals use my store's colors?

Yes. Brand colors hold your store's colors once for every deal, from the Brand colors button on Home or in the deal editor. New deals can then start from the Brand swatch on Choose a discount type. See Designing a deal.

Deals

How do I give a volume discount across different products?

Turn on Volume discount with other products on a quantity break or Buy X, get Y deal, for offers like "any 3, save 15%". Each bar of 2 items or more then gets a Choose button per item, where the shopper picks another product. See Quantity breaks and Buy X, get Y.

How do I show a deal only in some markets, or price it differently there?

Set the deal's Markets to one market, or keep All and tick Exclude markets. For a different discount in one market, add that market to the main deal's Excluded markets, then duplicate the deal and set the copy to that market with its own prices. Excluding matters: at checkout every published deal runs its own discount, so an all-markets deal would still price that market. See Show a deal in one market.

How do I translate a deal's texts?

Open Translations from the deal editor's header. The widget's built-in texts already come in 20 languages; your own texts are translated on the Translations page, with variables written as in the original. See Translations, currencies and markets.

How do I set the variant each item starts on?

Use Set default variants in Settings, Variants: pick a bar, then a variant per item. On the storefront an item starts on its default only when that variant can be bought. See Variants, swatches and images.

Can I sell a deal as a subscription?

Yes, for products that have selling plans from a subscription app; TreStack Bundles has no plans of its own. Shoppers then choose one-time or subscribe next to the deal. See Subscriptions in a deal.

Can I copy deals to another store?

No. There is no import or export of deals. Duplicate copies a deal inside the same store, with everything but its translations, and the copy's analytics start from zero. See Creating, publishing and managing deals.

Tests and analytics

When does an A/B test show a winner?

A Significant winner badge shows only when every variant has at least 200 visitors and 10 orders, the test has run at least 72 hours, and the difference is significant at 95 percent with two variants, or stricter with three or four. Until then, close results stay without a winner, and you can still pick one yourself with Set winner. See A/B testing a deal.

Can I export my analytics?

Yes. Export as CSV on the Analytics page gives one row per day per deal, with visitors, add to carts, orders, revenue, added revenue and more. Up to 10 exports an hour. See Deal analytics.

Why don't my analytics match Shopify's reports?

Visitors count only shoppers who allow analytics in your store's cookie banner. Revenue includes the other lines of the deal's products in the same orders, leaves out tax and shipping, and does not subtract refunds. Use your Shopify reports for accounting. See Deal analytics.
